International medical platform, 4 languages. The client's name stays private.

  • +11,5%clicks over 28 days vs the previous 28
  • 14,8 → 11,9average position
  • +12%average daily clicks month over month, −5% for the same months last year
  • 3 776pages translated by a custom plugin

Google Search Console, weekly clicks and 28-day periods.

The task

Traffic had been falling for over six months: down 57%, from 4,400 to 1,900 clicks a week.

Spanish and French pages carried hreflang en, the country filter created duplicates, hundreds of pages returned 404, and 80 of 88 specialty pages had no text.

What was done

  • Malware removed and protection added, key pages made 2–3× faster, sitemap and JS errors fixed.
  • Hreflang fixed, and 3,776 pages translated with a custom WordPress plugin instead of manual translation.
  • A custom plugin for smart 301 redirects from 404 pages: target matched by page name and checked with a live request.
  • A mega menu repeated three times in each page's code reduced to one copy: 650 links instead of 1,661.
  • A separate 1,317-URL sitemap for the country filter, with clean canonical and hreflang.
  • Structured data on every page type, keywords for 75 commercial pages and a new condition page template on 120 URLs.

These are the first signs of a turnaround after a long decline. Work continues: 2–3 more months of data are needed to call it steady growth.
